Rita Lucille Lund, 98 of Port Townsend, died at home with her husband by her side, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
She was born March 13, 1926 in Bernard, Iowa, the daughter of Azariah Wilfred Clark and Icye Olia Mae (Howell) Clark. Rita was the last survivor of 11 brothers and sisters.
Rita married Henry Lund, June 12, 1982.
She was a member of the Port Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department’s Women’s Auxiliary for 25 years.
Rita enjoyed many crafts, such as shell art, jewelry pictures, cross stitch. She had a large commercial strawberry field up on Swansonville Hill, loved Bingo, gardening, card games with her friends and had a unique collection of frog sculptures and art. She enjoyed time with her dear Henry and her family most of all.
Rita is preceded in death by her son, Robert (Bob) Haus. She was a grandmother of 5, great grandmother to 17 children, great-great-grandmother to several as well. She was a 6-generation grandma and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
