"Ted" Edwin Robert Hicks was born August 8, 1940 and passed away on January 5, 2024 from Covid-19, just minutes before his 62nd wedding anniversary.
He was a member of Local 19 ILWU and longshored like his dad. He loved woodworking, boating and hunting when he could. He was raised in Shine before moving to Seattle and then Whidbey Island. He was a member of South Whidbey Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne, sons Randall (wife Kathy), Mark, Patrick (wife Carina). He has 3 grandchildren, Leana Burns, Iris Fouke, and Ian Hicks and 7 great grandchildren. Brothers Dennis and Tom Hicks.
He is preceded in death by his son Michael, parents Randall and Margaret, sisters Sally and Geraldine Hicks.
A Memorial service for “Ted” Edwin Robert Hicks on August 10, 2024 at the Shine Cemetery at 1:30. Bring a sack lunch to visit afterwards if you would like. Officiating will be his grandson Pastor Ian Hicks and Pastor Matt Chambers.
