It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Stanway Coulter, a beloved resident of Mukilteo, WA, who left us after a courageous battle with cancer on July 24, at the age of 72. Carol was a cherished wife, mother, and friend, affectionately known as the "family glue" for her unwavering support and love.

Born on January 19, 1952, Carol graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1970 and studied business at Western Washington University. She enjoyed a successful career in the escrow business, where she was highly regarded.

Carol was a devoted wife to Tim and a loving mother to David, both of whom she adored deeply. She was the heart of the whole family, and she brought joy and happiness to every occasion. Her organizational skills were unmatched, whether packing trip coolers for their next adventure or planning unforgettable family vacations often centered around being on the water. She had a passion for travel, especially to Decatur Head in the San Juan Islands, where she loved sipping a fuzzy navel from the deck of cabin #1, preferably with an orca spotting in the distance.

Carol's warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. Her genuine ability to connect with others made her an unforgettable friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Tim Coulter, and her son, David Coulter. She was proceeded in death by her Father Roy Stanway and her Mother Jean Stanway.

A celebration of her life will be held at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo on Friday, August 30, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. In lieu of black attire, we’d love to celebrate Carol's life as she would - with a pop of color!
