Myron passed the morning of March 6, 2023, at the age of 85.

He was born March 21, 1937, in Port Townsend, Washington and later lived near Port Ludlow. Myron graduated from Chimacum High School in 1955. He then attended Washington State University, was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, and graduated with a BS in Agronomy in 1960. After college he spent four years in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash.

After his service in the Army Myron began his career in banking. He obtained his Certified Public Accountant license, and for years had a tax partnership spending many late nights working for clients and family members after his day job.

Myron married Nancy L. Trone on Nov. 23, 1963. She was born and raised in Hanover, Pennsylvania. At the time she was a United Airlines flight attendant living in and flying out of New York.

Myron and Nancy have two children, Monte Swanson, and Kendra Hermanson. They have three grandchildren Kyle Swanson (Olivia), Kamlyn Caliebe (Andrew) and Kari Diggs (Nathan); one great-grandson Isiah Swanson (Kyle and Olivia), and another is on the way (Kamlyn and Andrew).

Myron was always willing to assist anyone with anything and had a smile on his face doing that. He was a big sports fan, especially his Seahawks. He was season ticket holder #252 from 1976. He frequently had his hands in the dirt gardening, boating (Fox Island Yacht Club) and singing in choirs (all churches they attended and the Sons of Norway).

He loved his family and could be found at any family event and always was found at his grandchildren’s sporting events no matter the distance.

Myron was preceded in death by his sister Dorie (Hamre) and brother Don, and is survived by his brothers Ken and Allen.

There will be a celebration of his life at the Eliseo Campus at the Mortvedt Center at 1:30 p. m. Saturday, April 22. The address is 1301 N Highlands Parkway, Tacoma, WA, 98406.
