This letter is to acknowledge all the astonishing things in our community as we enter July! For me the returning long days of late spring and the greenery all around me.In spite of personal loss I will myself to rise each morning and on this day that unfolds.
The chance to walk and smile and pet other dogs, the new movies at the Rose Theater, the poetry readings, the free concerts at Centrum, the sharing of laughter and food as I sit with others on a park bench,
The promise of better days and knowing that each day holds its own wonders.
The chance to volunteer and go to the library and discover new books to read and the Saturday farmer’s market with so many farmers sharing their greens, herbs and knowledge.
All of these things give me hope and that is what I need right now to keep going on.
To hope,wonder and life!
