The Port Ludlow man who was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old teenager at his home Monday has been identified as Robert E. Carpenter.
Carpenter, 56, died on the front porch of his home after he was fatally injured by a family member.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the 100 block of Dunsmuir Road at 6:34 p.m. Monday after a woman called 911 and said her son had stabbed her husband.
The teenager was found less than an hour later on the golf course behind the victim's home. Authorities said a knife was found in the boy's possession.
The teen was taken to Jefferson County Jail for initial booking and later transported to a youth detention facility in a neighboring county.
The investigation into the homicide is continuing.
