A Clallam County Jail inmate was accidentally released from custody Sept. 4.
According to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, Lavan A. Lukes, 35, was released after appearing in the county’s Superior Court. When returned to the jail, he was released with other prisoners who were being out-processed at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Lukes was being held on a fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) charge on $5,000 bail. A warrant for his arrest is being sought.
He turned himself into the Clallam County Superior Court Thursday, Sept. 6, afternoon.
