A city of Port Townsend police officer works the scene of a four-car collision near the intersection of Water and Adams streets. According to Deputy Chief Jeff Thaxton, at about 12 p.m. on Sept. 30, the driver, a male in his 50s, was driving eastbound on Water Street when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into three parked cars.
Thaxton said the driver reported falling asleep at the wheel.
The driver went was taken to Jefferson Healthcare Medical center for assessment and monitoring. There were no reported injuries. The driver may face charges, Thaxton said.
