Join us for a weekend of swing dancing in downtown Port Townsend. Swingin' by the Sound is two days of Collegiate Shag workshops and three evenings of social dances.
Beginner and Intermediate track workshops are available (if you have never danced shag before, or never danced at all-- don't worry, the beginner track is for you!)
Instructors include Ryan Martin, Amanda Pincock, Jeron Tuell, Haily Holt, Theresa Manning, Peter Flahiff, and Lauren Smith.
Live music each night with the Jonathan Doyle Swingtet, Josh Roberts Quartet, and Jonathan Doyle's quartet with Jacob Zimmerman, D'vonne Lewis, and Matt Weiner.

Additionally, Sunday's dance will be a community introductory Collegiate Shag dance lesson and social dance. Thanks to the PT Art Commission's support, this lesson and dance are pay-what-you can, and all are welcome! No need to register in advance for this dance. If you don't have time to dance all weekend, come out on Sunday and see what Collegiate Shag is all about!
