Port Townsend Police responded to 188 calls between Oct. 4 and Oct. 11.

Oct. 4: A driver was issued a criminal citation for driving with a revoked license. An officer was on a parking complaint with an RV when the owner drove up on scene. That owner had been previously warned not to drive without a valid driver’s license.

• Another driver was issued a criminal citation for driving with a suspended license when she was stopped for driving without her lights on at 3 a.m.

• Officers responded to two different collisions within 30 minutes at approximately 1 p.m. One was a vehicle versus bicyclist that occurred when the driver was exiting the Food Co-op parking lot and hit a bicyclist that she did not see on Kearney Street. The bicyclist was not injured.

Oct. 5: Officers responded to a malicious mischief report on 49th Street. The reporting party (RP) stated his neighbor removed his bike and other property and put it in the street. There was also a broken window and vehicle damage. The suspect has mental health issues and already has pending court cases for similar activity.

• A RP called in suspicious activity on Hancock Street, stating he was hearing noises from an apartment that was supposed to be vacant. Officers checked the apartment, did not hear anything and the door was locked.

Oct. 6: An assault in progress was reported with two men fighting near DSHS. Officers determined the suspect began yelling at the victim, threatened to stab his dog, then charged, trying to hit the victim with a water bottle. The victim defended himself and punched the suspect but did not want to press charges. However, the suspect was arrested on outstanding warrants.

• Officers responded to a disturbance on West Sims Way, with reports of a woman screaming profanities. Officers contacted her and she admitted to using meth and weed earlier. They determined no crime had been committed and turned the call over to the outreach team.

• Officers responded to two domestic disturbances in the afternoon hours.

Oct. 7: A hit-and-run accident was reported at the QFC parking lot. The suspect vehicle was a white older passenger car. The case is under investigation.

Oct. 8: A semi-truck collided with a parked SUV on Highway 20 after turning from Mill Road. An accident report was taken.

• A theft in progress was reported, with a woman shoplifting from Henery’s Hardware. She fled the scene, but officers located her at Safeway, where she also shoplifted. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Oct. 9: Officers conducted six traffic stops throughout the city with two resulting in a cite-and-release arrest for driving on a suspended license.

Oct.10: A disturbance was reported with a woman yelling at the bus stop. Officers arrived, were able to calm her down and issued a trespass warning.

• Officers responded to a traffic collision on Sheridan Street, when a vehicle failed to yield the right of way to another while exiting a parking lot.

• Jefferson Healthcare Medical Center reported a man that had been held on a mental health evaluation left the ER while wearing a hospital gown. The subject was located at a nearby bus stop. He began to fight officers. He was taken back into custody without injury and returned to the hospital in soft restraints.
