Ozzie D. Baird, 57, of Duncombe passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Ozzie was born in Quincy, IL, on January 19, 1966, to Cecil and Marie (Biancardi) Baird. He grew up in Novinger, MO where he attended the R-1 School District. He was united in marriage to Lisa Smith on June 24, 1995, at the Lehigh United Methodist Church. Ozzie worked for Mertz Engineering for 15 years until he was unable to work due to his health. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being outdoors, hunting & fishing.
Ozzie is survived by his wife Lisa; children Heather & Kyle Baird; his mother Marie; siblings Butch (Diana) Baird, Mike (Sheila) Baird, Kevin (Kelly) Baird, Jeff Baird, Kathy Connor, Judy Baird and Tina Key; his mother-in-law Barbara Smith and sister-in-law Marcie (Ray) Bass along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father Cecil; grandmother Mildred Shores; his father-in-law Lee Smith and brother-in-law Rex Connor.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
