The Port Townsend Main Street Program recently hosted its annual membership meeting and volunteer appreciation event, with 65 guests attending at Sterming Place at The Belmont. The evening was emceed by newly-elected PT Main Street Program Board President Nathan Barnett, who recapped the nonprofit’s 2023 program highlights. The organization honored volunteers, outgoing board members, and new board members with an evening of awards and fellowship.
The board of directors honored those who have shown outstanding support of the PT Main Street Program, which celebrates 39 years of revitalization efforts this year.
“2023 was a very fulfilling year,” according to Barnett. “We hosted 20 events, grew the attendance for Concerts on the Dock and the Uptown Street Fair, made great strides with the Creative District plans, and kept focused on our mission to preserve, promote and enhance the historic districts.”
The board thanked two outgoing board members for outstanding service: Amber Bartl of the Old Whiskey Mill and Wendy Duede, senior VP of Market Sales of 1st Security Bank. Duede will continue to serve in the role of past board president. Kris Nelson, restaurateur, and Shauna Kohl, personal banker at 1st Security Bank, were welcomed as incoming board members.
