The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 208 calls for service between Friday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Dec. 2. Below are selected reports.
At 12:48 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 in Port Hadlock, a caller reported a vehicle had been stolen sometime in the past three days.
The residence was also broken into, but nothing appeared missing from inside the home.
The missing vehicle was a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
At 2:01 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 in Quilcene, a street sign was taken from a post in the 100 block of Serenity Loop.
It is not known when the sign was stolen. There are no suspects.
At 2:48 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 in Port Ludlow, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Dunsmuir Road. An unknown suspect broke into a residence. The resident said some items were missing and the person will compile a list of what was taken during the burglary.
At 3:48 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 in Brinnon, an assault was reported in the 300 block of Green Mountain Road.
An employee for a company that had been hired to remove trees was confronted by a neighbor to the property.
The neighbor was found to be in violation of a court protection order. The man, a 40-year-old from Brinnon, was ultimately arrested for assault.
At 1:06 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27 in Quilcene, a theft was reported after trash cans used by two homes were stolen after they had been set out for pickup.
At 2:32 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 in Chimacum, a burglary was reported in the 500 block of Beausite Lake Road.
Someone went into an outdoor storage shed and took several outdoor tools and vehicle batteries.
