Posted

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 230 calls for service between Saturday, July 9 and Friday, July 15. Below are selected reports.

At 1:17 p.m. Sunday, July 10 in Quilcene, a man reported his wife missing.

He said he last spoke to her on Thursday, July 7 and she said she was going to the hospital in Silverdale.

The woman was admitted to the hospital and told her husband not to visit.

The man had called the hospital to find out what was going on, and said he had been sending his wife texts, but she had not been responding.

The man said he was also in contact with the woman’s daughter in another state, and also called her boss, who hadn’t heard from her.

A deputy called the hospital, then called the woman’s number and left a message, asking her to make contact so people would know she was OK.

The woman responded and said she was safe. She said she had spoken to her husband and he was aware of her situation. She also said she was out of state.

The husband was contacted and he acknowledged she was not missing.

At 11:48 p.m. Sunday, July 10 in Chimacum, a man said he was in the process of being evicted and he was breaking up with his fiancee.

He said his fiancee’s family lived nearby.

The man was upset that his landlord would not give him back his deposit, and also complained about a car alarm going off and the circuit breakers being turned off.

He said he was afraid that things may continue and that his fiancee is not finished harassing him. He was also worried his property would be damaged.

At 11:13 a.m. Monday, July 11 in Port Hadlock, a caller registered a parking complaint and wanted contact with a deputy. The caller said neighbors were parking a vehicle in the street in the 100 block of Cedar Avenue, and that the shoulder of the road was not wide enough for the bike lane and vehicles to be parked there.
