Driver injured after rolling pickup on US Highway 101
A Port Hadlock man was injured Monday evening after he went off the road and rolled his pickup truck on US Highway 101 in Sequim.
The driver, 26, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
The crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. July 17 near River Road.
The driver was heading east on US 101 when he started to take the exit to River Road at Milepost 263, according to the Washington Sate Patrol.
As the man’s 1983 Ford Ranger pickup started to leave the roadway to the left, the driver overcorrected to the right and the truck rolled several times. The pickup came to rest on its top, blocking the exit.
The cause of the crash was negligent driving, according to the State Patrol, and the driver will be cited.
The truck was totaled and impounded. The pickup was removed from the scene by Evergreen Collision.
