The girls are in an eight-team regional in Vancouver, Wash., with the winner advancing to the Little League World Series. Earning a shot at the title is going to be a tough battle after Montana defeated East Jeff 9-3 on Sunday in Pool 2 action.

There are two tourney pools of four teams each. Every team plays four games between July 31 and Aug. 6. The top two finishers from each pool advance to the trophy round Aug. 7-8.

Pool 1 teams are Alaska: Nunaka Valley, Anchorage; Utah: Snow Canyon LL, Santa Clara, Utah; Southern California, Burbank LL, Burbank; Oregon: Pendleton LL, Pendleton and the tourney host: Cascade LL, Vancouver.
