Douglas Victor Larson, 89, died peacefully in Gig Harbor, Washington on August 8, 2024.

He was born May 19 1935, in Port Townsend, Washington to Harvey and Herberta (Gilpin) Larson.

Doug married Eleanor Ruth Stratton in Shelton, Washington on June, 9, 1956. They divorced in 1969.

He began working for Crown Zellerbach Corporation in 1955 and worked for a total of 55 years at the local paper mill, retiring in 2010. In 1963 he also worked as an Auxiliary Patrolman for the Port Townsend Police Department. He also worked for Justus and Blankenship Shake in Forks, WA in 1979.

Doug enjoyed antique bottle collecting. We have fond memories of stomping through woods with him to abandoned homesteads and buried buildings to dig for bottles.

He loved telling corny jokes and enjoyed his little dogs over many years.

Doug is survived by his four children, Debra (Daniel)Branigan, Tamara (Floyd) Baumunk, Denise Larson, and Doug (Kathy) Larson; his 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; his sister Lila and brothers David and Gary; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. He will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery, Chimacum, WA.
