It’s exciting to see the JUMP! playground at HJ Carroll take shape as the result of a wide community effort and collaboration with Jefferson County.
The entire JUMP! committee with leadership from Sarah McNulty and Sarah Grossman, have provided the community with a great new play space for children of all abilities to gather and play.
Gratitude goes to Tim Thomas of Bernt Erickson Excavating for site prep, Todd Hulbert of Hulbert Construction for building a custom archway and interpretive signs, Gunter Reimnitz for sculpting custom steel gates, and Chris Axling of Magical Playhouses for creating the custom wooden serenity space.
The community support for this playground is represented in a number of ways, including the custom tile work contributed by students from all four county school districts under the direction of Rebecca Welte.
Additionally, the hours of hands-on assembling contributed by all the volunteers who participated in the community build project, and the substantial financial support from Jefferson County residents.
I look forward to seeing the project completed and it becoming a gathering place for Jefferson County families.
