The Chimacum School Board is accepting applications from volunteers who would like to fill the vacancy left by the recent resignation of Jack McKay.
McKay stepped down in late July from the District 5 position. The board expects to appoint a new member to fill the unexpired term of the position.
The position will expire in 2021 and be open for election, according to the district.
Applications are due by noon Wednesday, Aug. 26.
Applications can be sent to the Chimacum School District Office at 91 West Valley Road, or to PO Box 278, Chimacum, WA 98325.
