Blaine Russell Roulst passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his wife and kids. Blaine bravely battled metastatic cancer for 4 years. He inspired his loved ones and team of doctors and nurses every day with his positivity and strength.

Blaine was born in Seattle, WA to John and Kathleen Roulst. He was their middle son, with older brother Shane and younger brother Roman. Growing up he and his family shared many happy years in the beautiful log home that they all built together.

Blaine met the love of his life Lisa Beckman in high school, and later they married on August 8th, 1987. They started a family, and spent 36 loving years together.

Blaine worked as a Boilermaker with Local 502 for 30 years, and spent 5 years working at the Port Townsend Paper Mill. He was always highly regarded and respected for his hard work ethic, abilities, knowledge, and care for others.

Blaine loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking trails, and golfing. He loved sports, and spent many years coaching baseball for EJLL, and later as a Papa he was on the sidelines cheering for his Grandson’s with pride.

Being a husband, a father, and a Papa was his greatest joy in life. He loved his family more than anything, and made all of us so proud to be his. He loved to make people laugh, loved music, always singing and dancing, ready for fun and adventure anytime, and was always there to offer a helping hand. He was sunshine in human form.

Blaine is survived by his wife Lisa Roulst, his children Lindsay (Jared) Shepherd, and Elijah (Jessica) Roulst, along with four grandchildren Mason, Ethan, Crew, and Sawyer. His mother Kathi, brothers Shane and Roman Roulst.

Blaine’s father John Roulst unexpectedly passed away just 2 weeks after him. Our family finds some peace in knowing they are together in heaven fishing and walking with the elk herd.

Known for his kindness, Blaine was such a beautiful light in this world, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held for Blaine on July 28th, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Quilcene Lantern.
