Two of the three JC Soccer Club youth teams won their Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup tournament playoff games last weekend and advance to semifinal action this weekend at the Starfire Sports complex in Tukwila.
The Boys' U13 Panthers defeated the Eastside Youth Soccer Association Odyssey 1-0 on Dec. 3 in Bremerton. The Panthers are coached by Jesse Watson and Laurel Dawson.
The Boys' U19 La Familia, coached by Kevin Coate, Bobby Benson and Ryan Charrier, defeated the North County Youth Soccer Association Scorpions 2-1 on Dec. 4 in Bremerton.
The Boys' U16 Pumas played the West Seattle Soccer Club Thunder to a 2-2 tie in regulation. The match went into overtime, and then was decided on penalty shootouts, with the Pumas coming up short.
