Technical issues caused Washington State Department of Transportation to take down camera images this afternoon on the WSDOT Traffic Web pages for Tacoma, Olympia, and the Kitsap Peninsula. Crews are working to solve the problem.
Earlier this week, a new server that feeds the images from these cameras to WSDOT’s intranet site was installed. Shortly after, technicians noticed the correct camera images were not showing when selected. The decision was made to take the cameras offline until the problem can be solved.
The outage is expected to last until at least tomorrow, Thursday, May 27.
