The Dying Matters Guild will host the workshop “Living with Meaning, Dying at Peace: How Death Informs the Lives We Live” on Saturday,
April 15 at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
The public is welcome to a day of story-telling and story-listening to help all make friends with death so people can better serve and support themselves and their loved ones.
The workshop is from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and will be followed by a brown-bag lunch and networking from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
The program will explore ways not only to talk about death, but also to listen with compassion. There will be guided meditation and small group work, focusing on the power of expanding one’s ease and ability to be with dying (and living).
The workshop is free, though donations are welcome. RSVP to saseltzer617@gmail.com.
The Dying Matters Guild is an Olympic Peninsula collective devoted to compassionately supporting end-of-life choices by offering resources, providing education, and holding meaningful conversations.
