The Jefferson County Public Utility District is expecting to restore power to customers in the Coyle Road area by 5 a.m. Thursday.

Following windy and rainy weather on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning that knocked out power for 3,000 customers in the east Jefferson County area, there were still 648 customers without electricity late Wednesday afternoon, according to the PUD.

Most customers without electricity are in the Dabob, Coyle Road, and Quilcene areas. Line crews with the PUD are working to replace five power poles that were damaged from Tuesday night’s storm.
