The email prompted an extensive law enforcement response in Chimacum.
Nine deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the school, as well as a Washington State Patrol bomb squad.
Personnel from East Jefferson Fire Rescue were also called out.
Deputies did a walk-through and searched school buildings, and no explosive devices were found, Anglin said.
Evacuations at Chimacum schools started just before 12:30 p.m.
All students were out of the buildings and accounted for by approximately 1:15 p.m.
Chimacum schools were shut down for the rest of the day. Parents were asked to not come to the schools to pick up their children, but instead asked to wait for their child's bus to arrive.
Anglin said emails were also sent to parents to help reunite families.
The threat remains under investigation.
"The email will be investigated and forwarded to federal authorities," Anglin said.
No other schools in Jefferson County received the threat.
Sean Moss, principal of Quilcene schools, said school officials were aware of the incident and were monitoring the situation. Classes in Quilcene continued as scheduled Wednesday.
