The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on Dec. 28 gained custody of a man who had failed to register as a sex offender.
On Dec. 11, the JCSO issued a bulletin seeking the public's help in locating Michael L. Morlan, a man convicted of third-degree rape who is known to frequent Jefferson, Clallam and Kitsap counties.
According to the Jefferson County Jail inmate roster, Morlan was booked into jail in Port Hadlock at 8:25 a.m. Dec. 28, 2015. He was arrested in Clallam County, and brought to Jefferson on the charge of failure to register, according to the JCSO.
