Two more residents in Jefferson County have died from COVID-19, according to county health officials.
Six residents have perished from the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic in Jefferson County.
Details were not immediately available about the two residents who died this week from COVID-19.
Jefferson County health officials also reported 22 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Thursday.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Jefferson County rose from 713 on Wednesday to 735 on Thursday.
Positive COVID test results were reported across the county; seven in Port Townsend, 13 in the mid-county area, and two in south county.
The new cases were equally split between by sex; 11 involved females and 11 involved males.
New cases were reported in all nine age brackets that are tracked by Jefferson County Public Health.
Two residents under the age of 12 was infected, along with two residents between the age of 12 and 19. One resident in their 20s, four residents in their 30s, one resident in their 40s, four residents in their 50s, three residents in their 60s, three residents in their 70s, and two residents 80 or older all tested positive.
A total of 69 residents were still in isolation Thursday due to potential COVID-19 contact — up from 54 in isolation Wednesday.
A total of 75 test results are still pending, according to Jefferson County Public Health.
There have been 29,792 tests for COVID-19 in Jefferson County since the start of the pandemic, and 28,982 have resulted in negative results.
New test results from 124 residents were received Thursday.
In Jefferson County, 555 people have recovered from COVID-19 and 49 people have been hospitalized for the disease. (People are considered "recovered" at 28 days from the onset of symptoms if they are alive and not hospitalized, according to the state Department of Health.)
