The Tri-Area Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale jointly with the horticulture students of Chimicum High School, and this year’s sale is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Chimacum High School.
A wide variety of plants will be for sale, including easy to grow perennials, grasses, shrubs, succulents, and much more. Plants come from Tri-Area members’ gardens as well as numerous donations from area nurseries. Payment can be made by check or cash.
Organizers of the sale note that proceeds from the annual event are used by the Tri-Area Garden Club to provide grants for local organizations’ horticulture projects.
Grants in previous years have been made to Habitat for Humanity and the Gathering Place for landscaping and gardening projects, as well to help fund the Chimacum High School’s Participation in the national Bee Campus USA.
