What started as eight local softball teams was narrowed down to one after Justice League defeated Arrow Lumber 13-8 to reign victorious in the Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Adult Softball Tournament.

Eight co-ed softball squads — Justice League, Barflies, Sirens, Sea J’s, Pourhouse, County Wreck, Breakers, and Arrow Lumber — started the double elimination tourney play back in July, with Justice League rising from the loser’s bracket to win the Thursday,
Aug. 4 championship game.

Justice League put on a superhuman performance to win the title. Arrow Lumber finished in second, Pourhouse took the bronze, and the Breakers earned the sportsmanship award for keeping it classy.

The tournament was organized and put on by Jefferson County Parks and Recreation, and the games were held at HJ Carroll Park.
