State Reps. Steve Tharinger and Mike Chapman, lawmakers for Washington’s 24th District, recently visited Jefferson Healthcare to discuss the hospital’s Campus Expansion and Modernization Project and healthcare issues facing the local community.
Hospital CEO Mike Glenn and other Jefferson Healthcare officials talked about addressing healthcare needs within east Jefferson County, the ongoing expansion plans, as well as legislative topics with Chapman and Tharinger.
The Campus Expansion and Modernization project will replace and expand over 55,000 square feet of clinical space and bring new specialties such as radiation oncology, neurology, pulmonology, geriatrics, ambulatory surgery, ear, nose and throat, and other services.
