High winds and rough seas prompted the cancellation of multiple sailings on the Port Townsend-Coupeville route Sunday morning.
The 9:30 a.m. sailing from Port Townsend to Coupeville and the 10:15 a.m. sailing from Coupeville to Port Townsend were called off, and Washington State Ferries announced at 9 a.m. Sunday that the route would be “out of service until further notice.”
WSF later called off the 11 a.m. Port Townsend-to-Coupeville run and the 11:45 a.m. Coupeville-to-Port Townsend sailing.
Service on the route was restored Feb. 26 with the 12:30 p.m. sailing from Port Townsend to Coupeville.
The route has seen multiple weather-related cancelations in February.
The 8 a.m. sailing from Port Townsend and the 8:45 a.m. sailing from Coupeville were cancelled, also due to rough seas and high winds, Tuesday, Feb. 21.
