Progress on the north jetty at Point Hudson isn’t gathering any moss.
With piles in place, about a quarter of the armor rock has been added to the jetty already creating resistance against the waves in a more secure way than ever before.
Orion Marine Contractors have consistently stayed on or ahead of schedule with its work, and are mandated to finish the north section of jetty by March in order for Point Hudson Marina to open back up as the weather returns to prime sailing season.
Then Orion will return in next year's off-season to begin again and replace the south jetty to make the breakwater fully secure.
