The 87th Rhododendron Festival is coming up in May, but organizers said they’re in need of volunteers to help make the event possible.
After close to a century of annual celebrations, the Rhody Festival has only been cancelled for two reasons; World War II and COVID-19.
Organizers were able to return after 2020’s cancellation with a festival last August, but this year’s Rhody Fest is quickly approaching. It is planned for May 16 to 21, and organizers need volunteer help.
To keep the Rhody Tradition going and help as a volunteer, go to rhodyfestival.org.
Folks can also get in contact with organizers through the Rhody Festival’s Facebook page, or by sending an email to rhodyfest@gmail.com.
