Jefferson County commissioners approved a contract Monday for repairs to the Brinnon Community Center.
Recent weather events have made it obvious that repairs were needed, according to the county. Work is needed on the building’s siding, roofing, and fascia.
Damage to the roof and siding are visible, and fascia rot was recently found at the community center building.
According to the county, the building did not have gutters, which led to the problems.
An upgrade to the Brinnon Water Treatment Shed is also planned.
Commissioners approved a contract for $8,649 with N&N Construction of Port Ludlow.
The company will remove roofing that has failed and will install new flashing and roofing materials, as well as install gutters to the building and replace fascia that has rotted.
