The League of Women Voters-Jefferson County is asking members of the public to submit questions for the league’s upcoming forum that will feature candidates for the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners, Position 3.
The hour-long forum will feature candidates Greg Brotherton and Marcia Kelbon and is set to start at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11.
People with questions should submit them to lwvjeffcowa@gmail.com by noon Saturday, Oct. 8.
The league noted that concise, unbiased questions directly related to the job and its policies will be given priority, and similar questions will be combined.
Organizers of the forum hope to compile questions that reflect a wide range of concerns from across the county. The league also stressed that forum questions are never released to the candidates in advance.
Links to the forum will be posted on Saturday, Oct. 1 at lwvwa.org/Jefferson.
KPTZ will simulcast the forums and livestream the event at kptz.org. The forum will also be recorded, edited solely for brevity, and linked on the league’s website.
