A 32-year-old man from Poulsbo died in a fatal car crash around 4 a.m. on Nov. 21 while driving a stolen car. Adam C. Curry was driving eastbound on state Route 104 approaching the overpass onto Center Road. At the overpass, the vehicle left the road and struck the guardrail on the westbound shoulder, vaulting over Center Road, according to Washington State Patrol. The vehicle came to rest on the embankment to the right of northbound Center Road. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, a woman drove by and saw the car in the ditch. When she pulled over to search the area, she found the driver had been ejected, but was still alive. The driver was taken to Providence Hospital in Everett, where he eventually died. According to WSP’s report, the driver had not been wearing a seatbelt. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the car he was driving had been stolen from Quilcene.
