A segment of Highway 20 will partially close down between the Eaglemount Road and Anderson Lake Road intersections starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 1.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and Jefferson County Public Utility District will conduct the partial closure.
Highway 20 will not shut down completely, and will have alternating traffic lanes while contracted crews will cut down and trim trees along the route and clear debris, according to the utility authority.
Detours around the tree-trimming work will be available on Anderson Lake Road and Eaglemount Road, and only local access along the partially closed portion of Highway 20 will be permitted.
No loss of power will be needed for customers on or near Highway 20, and PUD officials advise allowing additional time for commuting.
Crews will put up message boards with information on the partial closure at the Four Corners Road and US Highway 101/Highway 20 junction.
