On March 8, the Leader published an article explaining that right-of-ways will no longer be the city’s responsibility to maintain.
Instead, they will be using that time and money to repair and improve deteriorating roadways.
While I celebrate this, I also wonder why there can’t be time and money for both? What if someone doesn’t want to mow the ditch and it becomes a hazard for drivers trying to see around a corner? Aren’t those large side-arm mowers fast and efficient for mowing that side-of-the-road area?
I hope the city can find a way to maintain the right-of-ways AND repair the roadways.
