She told police that she believes someone broke into her apartment while she was showering sometime last week. She recently discovered items missing from her residence including a mace spray in one of her coat pockets, as well as a converter for her cable TV system. The woman suspected the theft occurred on Thursday of the last week, and hasn’t noticed anything else missing since. The woman noted that her apartment door was locked at the time.

At 12:05 p.m. Monday, March 13, a bike theft occurred in the 2600 block of Washington Street.

The bike owner told police that their property was likely stolen overnight on Wednesday, March 8, and the bike was gone by Thursday morning. The owner told police that the bicycle was left next to a boat in the marina and wasn’t locked up. It was described as a $400 folding bike with 20-inch tires; light green and pink in color. The bike owner didn’t have the serial number.

At 3 p.m. Monday, March 13, in the 900 block of Water Street, a jewelry theft occurred. Happening a few hours earlier around noon, an employee told law enforcement that the suspect was a woman in her 30s with medium-light brown hair.

The woman stole a jewelry piece valued at $80, and the store employee didn’t notice the piece was missing until after the woman had left. Store video of the theft was requested by the police.

At 7:10 p.m. Monday, March 13, a caller in the 500 block of Sheridan Street reported being threatened by someone holding a wrench. Officers arrived in the area and spoke with the caller and suspect. The officers developed a probable cause for felony arrest, considering the suspect had made death threats while wielding a weapon. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to jail for threats of harassment and a threat to kill.

At 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, a theft was reported in the 800 block of F Street. A resident’s bronze decorative window was stolen off the property overnight. Valued at $1,000, the decorative item was built into a fence and was described as a round, port-style window with a cover. There are no suspects.
