The city of Port Townsend unanimously approved a resolution marking March as Women’s History Month.
The city approved the proclamation during its March 20 business meeting, and the measure illuminates women throughout the city, region, state, and world who have or continue to advance gender equity and equality.
City and county municipalities — such as Lakewood, King County, Ellensburg, and others — have made similar proclamations across the state and country to join in and highlight the inspiring accomplishments of past women’s rights champions.
