The musical comedy “Nunsense” opened April 12 at Bay Club at 120 Spinnaker Place in Port Ludlow, and continues through April 21 on Friday and Saturday evenings at 6:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.
In their original review, the New York Times wrote, “Dan Goggin, the playwright, composer and lyricist of "Nunsense," has packed in every nun joke imaginable, from the opening statement that "nunsense is habit forming" through a variety of virgin jokes to the obvious but unavoidable penguin jokes.”
The Players wrote The Leader that when the rest of the sisterhood meets an unfortunate end from Sister Julia Child of God's vichyssoise, the remaining nuns are left to stage a talent show to raise funds for their dearly departed. Packed with catchy songs and irreverent comedy, “Nunsense” is guaranteed to have audiences rolling in the aisles with laughter.
Cast members include Gwen Adams, Vicki Valley, Kate Marshall, Christine Pence Usher, Madison Maxwell, and Catherine Benson.
