The Port Townsend City Council unanimously approved two contracts with Port Townsend Main Street and the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce for 2023.
Port Townsend Main Street will receive $100,000 and the chamber will get $136,475 from the city as part of the recurring contracts for each organization.
Port Townsend Main Street is a nonprofit organization centered on beautifying and stimulating the economy of downtown Port Townsend and surrounding areas. The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce operates the visitor information center in town and uses marketing services to help the local economy.
