A single new case of COVID-19 was reported by public health officials Thursday afternoon in Jefferson County.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, a total of 191 people have tested positive for the disease through Dec. 10, according to Jefferson County Public Health.
The new case reported late Thursday was a mid-county woman in her 60s who tested positive for COVID-19.
One death to the coronavirus has been linked to a Jefferson County resident.
County health officials reported Thursday that 118 residents in the county have recovered from COVID-19; 16 local patients have been hospitalized with the disease.
Health officials said 22 people with active COVID-19 cases were still in isolation.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, a total of 14,070 tests have been administered for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, and 13,844 have come back negative.
Test results are still pending for 35 people.
Through Thursday, 98 COVID cases have been found in Port Townsend residents; 73 in mid-county residents; and 20 in south county (Quilcene, Brinnon, and West Jefferson).
More women than men have tested positive for the coronavirus in Jefferson County; 97 females have tested positive through Dec. 10, and 94 males have tested positive.
