I would like to thank the kind people in the health department and the entire medical system in Jefferson County.

I received a call from the hospital that the I had been exposed to the coronavirus and I needed to take a virus test. I agreed and they have a drive through where they stick  a swab in your nose. It’s fast and painless.

The next day I got a call from my family doctor that I tested positive. I was extremely surprised.

An hour later I got a call from the health department saying I was quarantined and asking if I had enough food and supplies and how did I feel? I felt fine and had enough food for several weeks. Every day or two they call to see that I am doing well.

Roughly 30 percent of people that get the virus have no symptoms and 20 percent have it go into their chest and infect the lung tissue and capillaries in the lungs. The infected capillaries throw off blood clots that cause mini strokes and organ damage. If you have the virus and start having lung congestion call your doctor immediately.

I am over 70 and have a couple of risk factors so I take the virus seriously. I read several online medical newsletters and had been taking supplements to boost my immune system. I was taking 50mg of zinc gluconate, 500mg of quercetin, 5,000 international units of Vitamin D3 and 2,000 units of Vitamin C. When I found out that I tested positive I doubled the amount by taking a second batch of supplements in the evening and I added 400 units of Vitamin E to thin my blood and nattokinase, a enzyme, to dissolve any blood clots.

My symptoms were similar to a head cold. I had a dry hacking cough for five days and a slight temperature for a couple of days. I was also more tired than usual. I have the Swiss treatment protocol link on my web site.

Wear a mask. Practice social distancing and listen to health authorities. Discuss treatments with your doctor. Vitamin E should not be taken if you are on a blood thinner.

Take this virus seriously. It can kill you and your family.
