Kilmer wins big in re-election bid | 2022 General Election

Congressman Derek Kilmer has easily won his re-election bid to Congress.

Kilmer, a 6th District Democrat, had amassed 61.8 percent of the vote in his race against Republican challenger Elizabeth Kreiselmaier.

Kreiselmaier earned 38.11 percent of the vote, according to the initial vote tally on Election Night.

In early, unofficial results, Kilmer had 135,096 votes, while Kreiselmaier had 83,314.

Kilmer's lead over Kreiselmaier was 51,782 votes.

The incumbent was finding his greatest support, on a percentage basis, in Jefferson County.

Kilmer had 73.95 percent of the vote in Jefferson County, to Kreiselmaier's 25.95 percent.

In Clallam County, Kilmer had 57.22 percent of the vote, while Kreiselmaier had 42.69 in the first vote tally.

In Kitsap County, Kilmer was up 63.46 percent to 36.51 percent; in Mason County, Kilmer led by 51.38 percent to Kreiselmaier's 48.49 percent.

In Pierce County, where Kilmer amassed the most votes in any of the six counties within the 6th District boundary (48,266 votes), he was up 64.59 percent to 35.29 percent for his challenger.

And in Grays Harbor, the result was 51.32 percent for Kilmer; 48.52 percent, Kreiselmaier.
