Vote yes on Proposition #1 to keep the Coyle Community Center up and running. By voting yes on Proposition 1 “6-Year Operation and Maintenance of Coyle Community Center” the Laurel B Johnson Community Center will be able to continue as an important resource to the Toandos/Coyle community.
This levy, which occurs every six years, won’t raise your tax rate; it maintains the current rate ($.015 per $1000 of assessed value) through the next six years. This is a continuation of the same tax rate we have been paying for at least the past 12 years. How many costs haven’t gone up in 12 years?
Your vote is extremely important as we need a 60% majority of 50% of the registered voters for the levy to pass. The Community Center provides essential services. This includes providing water to residents without their own water supply, 24/7 access to free Wi-FI, a county emergency shelter and landing zone for medevac airlifts, and maintaining and upgrading the facility and acreage.
Community connections - At least eight local organizations use the Center for routine meetings as well as Thursday Community Lunches, Coyle Women’s Club Dinners and Community Concerts.
Healthy living - A sport court, exercise station, and yoga classes provide options for physical activity. The PPatch gives us a chance to grow our own healthy food and improve our community’s resiliency.
Without revenue from the levy, our vibrant community center would cease to function, so please join me and your neighbors who have joined the Friends of the Laurel B Johnson (Coyle) Community Center (LBJCCC) in voting yes on the November ballot. Together we can keep the lights on, the water flowing, and the good times rolling. Thanks.

Chair - Friends of the LBJCCC
