Kallos speaks at county library Nov. 4

“Writers at their best are in dialogue with their readers," writes Seattle author Stephanie Kallos on her website. "Without the imagination, art, attention and heart that readers bring to books, our characters would languish, our stories would never be heard.”

At 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, Kallos reads from and discusses her latest novel, "Language Arts," at the Jefferson County Library. The new novel from the best-selling author of "Broken for You" spins the stories of a dedicated teacher, his enigmatic son and a wartime survivor into an affecting tale of love, loss and handwriting.

The Jefferson County Library is located at 620 Cedar Ave., Port Hadlock. For more information, visit jclibrary.info or call 385-6544.
