Jerry Watson, a long-time resident of Port Townsend and Port Hadlock, died peacefully in his sleep on June 2, 2023, at San Juan Villa.
He was born in Elmira, New York, and lived in Sedona, Arizona for a long time before moving to Port Townsend. He ran the Rhody Run every year until his foot injury forced him to stop. He was involved with Key City Theatre as both a set designer and an actor. He worked as a gardener/landscaper/handyman in and around Port Townsend, becoming good friends with many of his customers.
There will be a celebration of Jerry's life later this summer at the Port Townsend home of Lisa Marks and Pat Mahon, whose yard and gardens were expanded and maintained by Jerry for more than 15 years.
