The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 230 calls for service between Saturday, June 11 and Friday, June 17. Below are selected reports.

At 12:05 p.m. Saturday, June 11 in Port Ludlow, a woman reported an unwanted person on her property.

The caller said a woman approached her property on foot and was carrying a suitcase. She appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine, and was asked to leave, but would not.

The caller said the intruder thought she might have warrants for her arrest. The woman had not been aggressive, but the caller said she’d heard stories of her being that way.

The resident helped the woman send a message to someone who could give her a ride, then walked her away from the property.

The caller said the woman was “very jacked up” and was talking nonsense. She also kept repeating herself.

The resident called back 45 minutes later and said the woman had returned and was on the front porch.

The woman was arrested for trespassing.

At 1:39 p.m. Saturday, June 11 in Port Hadlock, a caller said two women who were “clearly high on meth” had stolen items and then departed together in a vehicle.

The caller was able to recover some items, but he thought the pair had a bag filled with other items they had stolen.

The caller gave a description of the vehicle but a deputy was unable to find it.

The caller said he didn’t want to press charges, but wanted the women trespassed from the property if they were found.
