Jefferson County has not had a new case of COVID-19 in five days, according to Jefferson County Public Health.
The last new coronavirus case was reported Friday, May 14, which increased the cumulative total COVID-19 case count from 411 to 412.
No new cases have been reported since then.
Health officials said 217 COVID-19 tests have been done on Jefferson County residents since May 14.
Results have come back negative on 159 tests; test results are pending for 62 people.
Health officials said six people were in isolation due to potential contact with people with COVID-19 Tuesday.
The number of hospitalizations has also remained steady since last week; 27 county residents have been hospitalized due to the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
County health officials said 23,663 local tests for coronavirus have been reported since the start of the pandemic. A total of 23,189 have come back negative.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, 382 residents have recovered from the coronavirus. That's up from 374 last Friday.
People are considered "recovered" at 28 days from the onset of symptoms if they are alive and not hospitalized, according to the state Department of Health.
